Retro Video Game Programming
This activity will help each student gain a fundamental knowledge of a programming language using a language specifically designed for kids. This activity will help students tap into their creativity and collaboration skills under the guise of developing a group retro video game from the ground up.
Chat Bot Programming
We’ve all seen those start-a-chat buttons. Web chat bots are used to triage sales inquiries and support requests. Each bot asks certain questions of a user. Based on the answers, it can provide links to resources and even route the chat session to a real person. Students will learn how these bots are becoming more difficult to discern from a real human being.

Artificial Intelligence - Overview
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is everywhere. In this activity, students will gain insight about basic machine learning algorithms. Materials will be presented in normal, everyday, terms. Students will learn what AI is, and more importantly, what AI is not.
Big Data - Overview
Big Data is like a giant toy box, filled with Lego bricks and Duplo blocks. You could build all sorts of things. With thousands of bricks all jumbled up, it would take you all day to find all of the right pieces. It’s the same when it comes to big data. Learn about the 3 V’s (variety, velocity, and volume) of Big Data and how-to bring order from the chaos.
