David is a multi-faceted IT professional with over 25 years of IT experience. He holds an M.S. in Computer Science from Wayne State University with concentrated coursework in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Mining, and Video Game Programming. His Master’s Thesis topic was the development of a virtual game world to help pediatric nursing students develop critical thinking skills in a hospital setting.
David has always had a strong desire to help children. He recently created curriculum for and taught a video game programming class this past summer in Detroit’s Osborn neighborhood. He also developed a mobile app to help Type 1 diabetic children manage their condition. It was showcased at a camp for Type 1 diabetic kids.
Helen is a native Detroiter and a Cass Tech graduate. She holds a B.S. in Information Management Systems from Wayne State University.
Helen is a creative and energetic information professional with over 25 years of experience as Architect, Business Analyst, Project Manager, Systems Analyst, Consultant, Project Lead and Developer using a broad range of technologies to design and build enterprise systems and the teams to support them. She thrives on teamwork and the creation of innovative solutions to challenging problems. With excellent technical and communication skills, and a strong work ethic, she succeeds best in multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary settings.
Kimberly received her Bachelor of Accounting from Michigan State University and has been in the accounting field for over 15 years, of which most years included extensive non-profit accounting experience. While in the non-profit field she oversaw a $30M budget with many state, federal, county and local grants including billing, budgeting, forecasting and program audits. She was part of the executive team for many years and she was an integral advisor to executive team leaders on accounting issues.
Dr. Maria S. Kokas has an extensive background in leading the design, development and implementation of educational programs as well as in organizational development.
Dr. Kokas’ commitment to education and sound organizational processes spans three decades in the private and public sector, traditional/public/on-line education, healthcare and sponsored programs. She has maintained strong inter-organizational relationships through continuous and active involvement.
Chauncey has over 30 years’ experience in higher education. His focus is to maximize academic success, student learning, first generation, and improving students' pathway to graduation from all cultural backgrounds and economic levels. Chauncey teaches study skills, facilitates academic workshops, and mentors undergraduate students.
Chauncey currently serves as an academic advisor at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He supports students’ navigation of degree requirements and graduation requirements.
